April will make a great broodmare for an inexperienced breeder, especially if you want to AI. She has been genetically tested through APHA and VGL. She does not mind being palpated, ultrasounded, AI'ed, or loaded into stocks. She responded very well to artificial light therapy to cycle early in the year. She didn’t have problems foaling and didn’t mind me imprinting her foals. She is a good mother, both loving and a gentle disciplinarian.
April has both halter and performance APHA point earners in her pedigree. Her sire has 363 performance points.
April is easy to catch out in the pasture. I can vaccinate and worm April in the barnyard with no restraint. She leads, ties, loads, and hauls. Also, she gets along well with my other mares.
April is microchipped and has a June 2009 negative Coggins test. She is vaccinated annually. She is wormed every two months. Her hooves are trimmed regularly.
