Storm likes to be at the head of a pack on a trail, and will go all day long. He rides well in the mountains and in fields - will go through anything! Recommend intermediate to advance rider as he is very sensitive and has a lot of get up and go (no back of the pack for him). Maybe a CONFIDANT advanced beginner - but probably no children. Absolutely not a show horse - had a terrible experience in the past and is petrified of the show ring. Have tried to "fix" this for 3 years. His element is on the trails. Genuinely takes care of his rider and does not spook on trail rides. Great horse. Sweet and loving personality; loves to eat people food lots! Beautiful canter and ground covering gait! Awesome flatwalk and running walk. Ideal horse for an all day ride with comfort.
*edit* Video has been added. There is also a second Video on my Youtube Channel when you watch the first one.
This horse is very special to my heart and I am sure he will be in his next owners as well. I am selling him because I cannot show him and trail ride him, but would like to. This is the hardest decision I have ever made in my entire life. I cannot afford to keep two horses, and I am thinking about what would be best for Storm. He will make somebody a lovely trail horse until the end of his days, and he will be happier.
Only thing on a trail he does not do is gates - but I am sure with the right owner and patient one, he will learn quickly. I usually just get off and open gates anyway. :)
The only reason he is rated a 5 is because he has a lot of energy! Not because he is spooky! He is not spooky at all!
*Updates* Price Lowered because I must sell him. Also - he goes out by himself often - perfectly ok. Not spooky at all and goes anywhere you point his nose. Keg shod.
