"Blue" is a very striking smoky black three-year-old mare by a cremello stallion (Amberfield's Desperado) and out of a black mare (Hollyhock Isabella). She was tested for the Cream gene at UC Davis and tested N/Cr (heterozygous, dilute, one copy of Cream gene) Meaning as a brood mare she'd typically throw palominos, buckskins and smokey blacks depending on the color of the stallion (But if bred to Cream she could produce Cream). She is very smart and is ready to go in whatever direction you'd like to take her. Built solidly like a classic old-style Morgan (and should mature around 15 hands) she'll be able to carry even a larger, taller rider without looking and feeling too small. She's very level-headed and sweet. She's used to being turned out 24/7, but she doesn't panic if she's in the barn alone and away from other horses. She has been started under saddle and is extremely quiet and willing to do whatever is asked of her. She's very easy to handle, has excellent ground manners, and is super for the vet and the farrier. She is handled every day (comes in for grain, to be sprayed, check her fly mask, etc. I can bring her to and from the barn with just a rope around her neck.) She would make a nice dressage horse and she shows talent being free jumped. She'd also be very stunning under western tack (she has a very "Spanish" and baroque look to her). She'll stand out in any Morgan or open show with her unique white markings and curly mane and tail, or she could be a great trail horse! Up to date on vaccinations, worming, hoof trimming, current coggins, and dental. This is a very nice quiet mare who likes people and attention and has never had a bad experience--she comes with no emotional baggage! Her trainer says she is an over-achiever and learns incredibly quickly. Come and check her out! Her training will continue until sold. Price may be negotiable to the right home.
