Dreaming of that perfect prospect who's gentle enough for your kids to take to 4H, slow and smooth enough for you or your wife to show in Western Pleasure and still athletic and cowy enough for the working events? Look no further! On top of his willing attitude and friendly personality, Blaze has a pedigree full of performance breeding. He has more Three Bars blood in him than the legendary Doc Bar, with a side of Mr. San Peppy and Two Eyed Jack breeding! Full brothers and sisters can be found competing in barrel racing and team roping and showing in reining and working cow horse events. Blaze has had a handful of slow rides put on him last year on the trails and has been hauled. Since then, he has had the rest of his two year old year to grow tall and mature mentally running and playing with pasture mates. He has not been pushed or ridden hard, and has been introduced to humans as his partners. As a three year old, Blaze is now ready to further his education and be taken in any direction you might want to go. He is currently being handled daily and ridden a few times a week. He rides more like an older horse than a colt, goes with his head level and on a loose rein. This horse is easy to catch and does NOT need any lunging. Simply saddle and go. He is incentive fund enrolled, and has no bad habits or vices of any kind. One-owner horses with this much talent, breeding and trainability are hard to come by.
*8/9* Been out to pasture with the big horses for a week while Master has been on vacation. All the grass, running, sun and fun a young colt can handle! Wee Haw!
*7/23* Visited the vet today for our annual shots including 9 way, West Niles and Strangles vaccinations. Also had blood drawn for a fresh Coggins test. Vet looked at bump on shoulder and said swelling will be gone in a few days, nothing to worry about.
*7/22* Today was a big day for Blaze! We hauled over to a trail ride with several other riders. We went on a difficult ride with several creek crossings, steep climbs and rocky descents. Blaze did a terrific job of navigating the slippery slopes and picking his way through the rocks and mud. In several places, the mud was quite deep, and though he wasn't thrilled about it, he went through obediently. He listened and responded well, even when other horses ran off ahead and not spooking when another horse threw a rider. I was very proud of his first outing with a larger crowd of people and horses. He was one of the best looking and best behaving horses in the group.
*7/19*Blaze continues to do well and has gained a lot of experience around traffic the last couple of weeks. Today he even got to see a train go by! We also impressed the local police with our skill as we climbed up a loading dock and then rode down a ramp beside a factory building! I continue to be amazed at how quiet and honest this horse is...at just three years old! I see many people are 'watching' him. His price will be increasing with training and ride time. Buy now to get a better price and before I change my mind! If you met him, you would understand. This horse grows on people. He's already the favorite at the barn and the hero of the neighborhood kids. We are scheduled for a longer trail ride with water crossings, hills, forest, etc on Wednesday.

*7/18* Unfortunately Blaze has suffered a slight bump to his shoulder. Some high school students were shooting off bottle rockets AT the horses in the pasture and scared them into the barn. As they ran in, Blaze must have bumped his shoulder on the door. It is not an open injury, but he does have a knot on it. He is not sore or lame on it and it does not seem to affect him at all. He continues to run and play in the pasture and it did not bother him at all when I rode him. (Yes, the police were called and the youths were taken into custody.)

*7/4* I suppose that technically, Blaze is a red dun, since he's that light reddish color with a dorsal stripe. Several people have been asking me about that lately.

*6/13* First ride in town, by bicycles and children, cars with loud music and motorcycles, across railroad tracks, down miles of country roads with birds flying out of the bushes, across bridges and alongside a busy highway with cars and trucks whizzing by. First introduction to traffic went very well. Also rode quietly alongside dozens of giant flags flapping in the breeze.

*6/12* Continues to leave the back pasture to see who ever has come to visit. Follows me around whenever I work with other horses, remains VERY interested in attention without being the slightest bit pushy. Man I'm gonna miss this guy!

*6/10* Hauled to the roping pen where he was ridden amongst all the clanging, bangling, loudness, cattle and other horses. Looked around a lot, but behaved like an old rope horse. Enjoyed nuzzling the HotHeels roping dummy.

*6/9* Hauled in from the big pasture in Biggsville to Bushnell to be cleaned up and worked with until sold. Will be handled daily from this point forward. No neighing or running the fence. Did not appear to miss his old pasture mates.
